Framework for Consultation Guidelines
Alberta’s Framework for Consultation Guidelines, approved in April 2006, was critical in the development of Alberta’s Ministry-specific First Nations Consultation Guidelines. The Framework established the principles for Alberta Ministries to follow in developing guidelines pursuant to the Consultation Policy. A primary objective of the Framework is to identify how the Policy can be successfully implemented to facilitate its ongoing evaluation and improvement over time.
